NIc Mc traveled to Christchurch to record a series of talking books with Margret Mahy last week but work was interrupted by the well publicised earthquake.
The damage and deprivation which people are experiencing there is surreal. Liquefaction has caused unseen but horrific damage to landowners as well as the obvious carnage from the jolt itself.
