The studio has been a prominent feature of Island Bay for a hundred years. Generations of South Coasters and Island bay folk have participated in is chapters. Originally a community hall; a church; twice a cinema; and now thirty years a film studio, the building been a part of the Wellington creative community for a very long time. We like to think that’s part of why it has such a great energy. Below are a selection of articles about 33 Humber St from the National Library’s fantastic papers past site.
